Carers Friendly Employer Award
We offer several types of Carer Friendly Awards and this service is completely FREE. We offer guidance and support throughout the process, including awareness-raising training sessions and up to date resources for Carers.
Are you an employer in Nottinghamshire? Become a Carer Friendly Employer.
Our Carer Friendly Employer Award is presented to employers who offer support to their staff that are balancing work and a caring role. We can work with you to develop Carer Friendly practices that improve retention, reduce absence and increase productivity of your employees who balance work and care.
The Carer Friendly Employer Quality Award is achieved by considering your organisation’s current understanding of unpaid Carers and how you can better support them to remain in work.
Employers will benefit from free training, resources and ongoing support from us. Understanding that a “one size fits all” approach isn’t always feasible, we will help to review policies and procedures to enable employers to offer a level of support that is appropriate to their own workplace.
On completion of any of our awards you will receive:
· A Carer Friendly quality mark to use on your literature and website
· An award certificate to display
· Promotion of your achievement via our social media channels
· A case study for inclusion on our website
· Support materials – to promote your Carer friendly status
· Local & national signposting to help in the community
· Networking with other Carer champions
