Denim for Dementia Day Friday 20th May 2022

Don your denim for the day and help raise funds to support people affected by dementia.

On Friday 20 May, join others across Nottinghamshire putting on their best denim to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s Society.

More than one million people in the UK will have dementia by 2030 and this will increase to more than 1.6 million by 2050. There is currently no cure.

As part of Dementia Action week (16-22 May), Denim for Dementia day is a great opportunity to act on dementia by jumping in your jeans and making a donation to this very worthy cause.

How do I take part?

Whether it’s as a team in your workplace or you’re working from home, simply don your denim on Friday 20 March and donate on the Just Giving page. You’ll find a couple of posters attached to help you drum up support.

Share photos

You can show your support by sharing your dazzling denim photos on the dedicated Denim for Dementia Facebook Page via WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger buttons  on the page.

Become a Dementia Friend

You can also sign up to a free Dementia Friends information webinar, delivered by one of our Dementia Friends Ambassadors.

These small acts can make a big impact in raising awareness and helping to make Nottinghamshire a more dementia-friendly place to live.
