Nottinghamshire County Council awarded our Carer Friendly Employer Award
Congratulations to Nottinghamshire County Council who were awarded our Carer Friendly Employer Award. This award recognises their commitment to creating a workplace where colleagues with caring responsibilities feel valued, supported, and empowered.
Jayne Davies and Helen Yates from the Nottinghamshire Carers Association presented Adrian Smith, Chief Executive, along with the new Colleague Carer Champions with the award. Nottinghamshire Carers Association are commissioned on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council and others to support employers to become carer friendly.
Katy Ball, Service Director for Strategic Commissioning & Integration in Adult Social Care said: ‘I am absolutely delighted that we have received the Carer Friendly Employer Award. This reflects all the hard work we have done so far in recognising and supporting unpaid carers within our workforce. But the work doesn’t stop here, let's continue to build upon this and help our colleagues who are juggling their work and caring responsibilities.’
