At NCA we aim to work closely with all Health and Social Care Services across the city and the county. We want to provide all of our valuable support services working with families and young people with our free Young Carer Awareness Training, as well as ongoing resources and support.

Young Carers and Young Adult Carers have a significantly higher prevalence of anxiety and self-harm, and are more likely to feel stressed, worried and isolated compared to their peers without a caring role. There are approximately 2400 young carers in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, but these are only the ones we know about. Many of our young carers are hidden, and it is vital that we help to identify them and offer support where it is needed.
