Working with community services to raise awareness of unpaid Carers

What We Do

We work closely with community organisations and services across Nottinghamshire County. Our aim is to raise awareness of unpaid Carers in our communities, and support organisation’s and services to become more Carer Friendly.

What We Can Offer You

·        Free Carer Awareness Training

·        Resources for staff and volunteers

·        Resources for Carers

·        Information and guidance for signposting

·        Organisations working with us could gain our Carer Friendly Award in recognition of their support for Carers.

Why It Matters

A carer could be anyone who cares, unpaid, for a family member or friend who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, cannot cope without their support. It would be fantastic if community organisations were able to talk to Carers about how to access their services and help them to access any support they need.

How We Work with You

Our Community Engagement Worker would be happy to speak with you about working in partnership to become more Carer Friendly, and to encourage more Carers to access your organisation with confidence. It does not matter if you are a large or small organisation/service, whether you work locally or county wide, we want to work with you to support carers. We offer flexible delivery and offer in-person or virtual sessions of our carer awareness training. This is available for FREE to all community organisations or services in Nottinghamshire County.
