The Memory Assessment and Early Onset Dementia Teams awarded the Carer Friendly Service Quality Mark

The Memory Assessment and Early Onset Dementia Teams have both been awarded the Carer Friendly Service Quality Mark during Dementia Action Week for their approach to supporting Patients and their unpaid Carers across the County.

The Services are looking to continue to increase awareness and support offered to Carers during their journey with them to improve outcomes for both the Patient and their loved ones long term.

Both Teams accessed training to increase their awareness of Carers and ensure they have resources on what additional support is available to offer Patients and those who care for them to promote their wellbeing long term.

Emily Kirkham and Teresa Burgin quote:

The Teams have found the training and process of working with Nottinghamshire Carers Association ‘empowering, insightful and it has again highlighted the importance of Carers as part of our work with Patients.’

‘Carers are an important piece of the jigsaw in terms of a Patients condition and planning for the future support beyond our service that we want to involve and support.’
