‘I would just like to thank you for the support you have given us as a team at Connect. Prior to engaging with NCA we were very keen as a service to be able to support carers, but were confused as to where to signpost or how to even begin the conversation. The initial chat with NCA regarding carers and the training session later on, addressed all these gaps. We gained knowledge on the different areas of carers support within Nottinghamshire and the processes for accessing this support. We had an interesting interactive session that was thought provoking and highlighted that there were many ways to identify carers and we didn’t need to just restrict this to our patient’s but surrounding family and friends.
Alongside this, communication with the NCA team has been great. They are always available to help and address queries and provide lots of resources for us to display and raise awareness of support for Carers. We have a dedicated section on our company resources page now and all the team are quick to pick up on any prompts to identify Carers and know exactly where to locate the contact details needed.
