A big welcome to our new Young Carer Champion!

Amy Whant is a Social Work Practice Consultant at the Newark Family Support and Safeguarding Team and has volunteered to be a Young Carers Champion for her team, after attending our NCA Young Carer Awareness online training. 

Young Carer Champions are designated staff members who:

• Provide support for Young Carers
• Act as a first point of contact
• Raise awareness among other staff
• Connect Young Carers and their families to essential external services and resources

These champions help ensure Young Carers receive the support they need.
