Carers Relax at a Special Tea Party

A fun and relaxing treat was on offer on the 10th June as carers gathered at a lovely marquee the Derby County Cricket Ground for a well-earned tea party and treat organised by Derbyshire Carers Association. Carer support experts were on hand offering information sessions and advice as carers took a little ‘me-time’ enjoyed themselves with a number of fun treats and awards.

With lots of chat, entertainment provided by Steps for The Future, tea and cake, a tombola, craft fair, stalls and a buffet for all this popular event once again brought carers and the community together. CEO, Narinder Sharma also presented flowers to our hardworking volunteers who helped make this day a resounding success.

Part of national Carers Week, the ‘Tea Party’ had a large turnout and afterwards carers filled in feedback forms commenting on ‘a great time, and lovely venue and great company.’

The Carers Afternoon Tea was part of the DCA’s packed line-up of Carers Week events for carers in the city and county. There are a host of other carer events planned for the rest of 2016. Contact us on 01773 743355 or email info@derbyshirecarers.co.uk
