Free First Aid Sessions from the British Red Cross

Tuesday 27 January 2015
7.30-9.30pm Bradbury House.

In 2013, we gave 3,500 thousand people across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Cheshire the skills, and even more importantly, the confidence, to help someone in a medical emergency.

Participants included Carers, mental health charities, groups that support people with medical conditions, substance users, disabled people, refugees and asylum seekers, adults with learning difficulties and homeless people. In 2014, with your help, we would like to continue to build community resilience by making first aid second nature.

Everyday First Aid sessions differ from more traditional first aid training. The sessions are:

• a maximum of two hours long
• focus on overcoming fears people have about helping someone experiencing a medical emergency
• teach first aid skills which are easy to do, easy to learn and easy to remember

Each participant receives an easy to follow workbook with a detachable certificate of first aid learning. Workbooks are also available in Braille, large print and a variety of languages.

This first aid programme is an exciting way to learn first aid. It offers participants the opportunity to learn skills according to their ability and learning style. Everyone can learn something and be rewarded for it.

For further information or to book on any of the above events please give me a call on 01457 858383.
