Free Self Defence Class

Much thanks to Phillip Dobson and his assistant Alan for providing Derbyshire Carers with the free self defence class last night. Thanks also to Hasland Hall Community School for providing free use of their gym.

We thoroughly enjoyed the class and can recommend it to anyone wishing to know more about how to defend oneself. We learned about ‘soft spots’ on the human body that everyone has regardless of strength or physique, and how to attack those soft spots in order to get away from an attacker. Phil and Alan made us feel comfortable and were very entertaining!! We had demonstrations and one to one tuition as well as useful advice on how to use everyday items such as keys, brollies, pens in self defence. It was great fun as well as informative.

Further sessions will be organised, for details please contact lyn.mcnair@derbyshirecarers.co.uk
