Derbyshire Carers Awards 2017

One in 10 people in Derbyshire are carers. Some of these carers don’t know how to access the care, help and support that they need. We aim to raise awareness of the difficult situation they face and let them know that they are not alone, but that help and suitable support is available.

Currently, it is estimated there are over 7 million carers in the UK; in addition, 1.4m carers spend more than 50 hours a week caring for others, this equates to a full-time workforce larger than the NHS.

We and encouraging the public to really get behind the Derbyshire Carers Awards 2017 so carers receive the recognition deserved and we can continue to help shine a light on the vital role carer’s play.
