Andrew’s fundraising success

A kind-hearted fundraiser and member of DCA staff embarked on a trip to Clumber Park to take part in a gruelling half marathon to raise an impressive £350.

Andrew Spriggs completed the 21 kilometre Clumber Park half-marathon last weekend in aid of carers and those living with cancer.

The Chesterfield runner said he was inspired and motivated to raise the funds after working with carers in Derbyshire in his support and advice role.

After the run Andrew said,
‘I just wanted to thank all who have sponsored me for the Clumber Park half marathon! It was a great day and I’m very proud to be raising money for Derbyshire Carers’ Association and Children with Cancer.’

Andrew with medal

This isn’t the first time Andrew has supported local charities. Last July he rode his bike over 100 miles from Chesterfield to Skegness on the hottest day of the year to raise vital funds for carers.

What’s next for Andrew?

Well, after recovering from Saturday’s effort Andrew is now cycling at Nuffield gym on the 9th July to raise more funds for DCA.
