Workshops available for young adult carers - October

The Grants Team at Carers Trust have been working with several corporations to set up workshops on education, employability or financial skills for groups of young and young adult carers. Several corporate partners are looking forward to making a contribution by sharing their knowledge, experience and skills on financial, employability and life skills.

There are still some places on one of the workshops we offered last month. Details of subjects to be covered within the workshop can be found below.

British Airways Workshop – open to young carers aged 14-25 (20 places still available!)

Date: 16 October 2014, 10am-2.30pm
Location: British Airways Learning Centre, Headquarters near Heathrow airport
Topics: Cabin session which will include customer service skills, interview and CV skills and Tour of headquarters (Waterside).

How do you register?
Network Partners across the UK are invited to register for up to 10 spaces each, per event and will need to nominate a staff member to accompany the young carers at each event.

If you would like to bring more than 10 young carers or young adult carers, please indicate this on your form and we will contact you if there are spare places.

Travel costs
To enable Network Partners from across the UK to attend, the Grants team will be able to provide up to 60% of support with the costs of travel.

If you are interested in attending one or more of these workshops, please fill in the registration form here and send it back to Lou Flandrin, Volunteer Coordinator at lflandrin@carers.org.

If you have any questions about these workshops, please do either call Lou on 020 7922 7757 or a member of the Grants team on 020 8498 7916.

We look forward to welcoming you to the workshops soon!
