Have you heard about the Walk a Mile in My Shoes Project?

Derbyshire County Council and staff from partner organisations have been speaking to local carers who volunteered to make audio recordings of their carer journeys, in their own words.

The idea behind sharing the stories is to give people who’ve never been a carer (including professionals and trainees) a real flavour of what it’s really like to look after someone – the good bits, the challenges, the things people don’t realise etc.

The project will be launched during Carers Week in June but there’s still time to get involved and DCC would like to record as many different stories as possible.
